THE ORDER

  The Order is the religious cult in Silent Hill, the religious sects started out long time ago and they had always been a part of the culture of Silent Hill. The religious beliefs have roots from Christian teachings, however, the sects in Silent Hill developed their own religion and lost connection with Christianity. The religion had been around from the beginning, also there could be some connections with the town itself because it is located in a sacred place. The main beliefs of the Silent Hill religion was in the Holy Mother sect. According to that, there was a God who was birthed by The Holy Mother and the God would bring salvation and the paradise to the people who believed in her.

HISTORY

  Before settlers came to Silent Hill, the area was thought of as a sacred place. The ceremonies that were conducted there became the model for the present-day cult faith. However, the town's native religion is not the same as the cult.
