LOBSEL VITH THE YELLOW GOD by Lobsel Vith


I strongly believe that The Yellow God is none other than Alessa. 

The name Lobsel Vith is derived from the Mayan words Lob, Sel, Vee

Lob = Bad
Sel = Vessel or Circle
Vee = Flesh

So Lobsel Vith could very well mean Bad Vessel of Flesh or Bad Circle of Flesh.  Amazingly Alessa fits both these descriptions.

In Silent Hill 1 she was the vessel of flesh that carried God.

In Silent Hill 3 she was the vessel of flesh that carried God. 

Note:  I am one that strongly believes that Heather Mason is the combined soul of Alessa and Cheryl, and because of that she is Alessa.  I do believe that the reason she forgets is because Harry did his best to give her a happy life, thus subduing the painful memories Alessa had.   http://translatedmemories.com/bookpgs/Pg82-83.jpg states

"...who was born as a result from Alessa's and Cheryl's return to a single body."

and also

"Heather who obtained an immortal body as a result of being impregnated with the God...

There we have the Bad Vessel of Flesh part.

Now for the Bad Circle of Flesh part.

1. In Silent Hill 1 and 3 Alessa is shown to have the ability to split her soul and to make a new baby out of it. In the good endings of SH1 the Woman in White (possibly God) hands Harry a baby with the combined souls of Alessa and Cheryl.

2. When Heather looks at the St. Alessa painting "Mother of God; Daughter of God" she says "That's me holding the baby and...and I'm the baby being held."

3. The Alessa we see in Silent Hill 1, might not even be first incarnation.  In the Silent Hill 3 chapel there's a painting titled Birth.

In my opinion the woman offering the reed bares a striking resemblence to Alessa. 

4. In the "Flame Purifies All" image there's a crescent moon behind her.


 According to http://www.geocities.com/Athens/Delphi/5789/serpent.htm  one of the cultural meanings of the moon is

"The moon, waxing and waning is the celestial body capable of this same ability. The moon, long associated with the life-creating rhythm of the female, and therefore of time itself becomes the lord of the mystery of birth and death"

Alessa = The Holy Moon ?

5. According to Lost Memories http://translatedmemories.com/bookpgs/Pg82-83.jpg Heather(and consequently Alessa) is represented by The Fool Card.  The book doesn't go into too great of detail about the card, but here's something I found.

"The fool is an interesting card, it is a key of 0 and yet a key of 22 as well. There are 22 cards to the Major Arcana, starting with number 1-21..the number 22 would seem to be missing if we just called it 0. The 0 key, represents the god force, the force before entering into manifestation, but in the same right, this card completes the cycle as number 22. Life continues on and on in a cycle and the number 22 is an ancient symbol for a circle representing god and infinity, because a circle has no starting point or end. The Fool represents the Super conscious in which he has yet one more step ahead of him, symbolic of the fact that we never come to our limit in potential.

The bright sun over head represents the life energy that is forever rising. The mountains in the distance, even though bleak and cold rising high in the sky bring forth water when the sun melts the peaks, bringing life and nourishment to the ones below. His bag represents the memories of the past, with the eagle on it representing an awaked view towards aspirations. The white rose in his hand represents the pure desire and untainted goals, while the dog at his feet is symbolic of the lower incarnations that are elevated by evolution."

6. In all of the endings when the God is born ever notice how it looks exactly like Alessa? Originally I myself thought that Alessa was the God, but that theory was shot down. Still it bothered me about why The God looks exactly like Alessa. Now it's occured to me, and I should have seen this. What we are seeing is the God taking over Alessa's body. The God is using Alessa's body as a vessel.

To conclude the LV section I have hopefully shown evidence that Alessa is the vessel and the (figurative) circle.
